Table Matters Network

I facilitated a participatory evaluation process for the Table Matters Network on behalf of Vancouver Coastal Health,  followed up by a planning process two years later. Table Matters is a citizen network dedicated to growing food security on Vancouver’s North Shore. Vancouver Coastal Health chairs, three municipal goverments, innovative non-profits, school boards and business all participate.

Check out the amazing Food Charter for the North Shore that the Table Matters network facilitated via a series of public consultations (featuring feasting, storytellers and live bands in between the gab).

The current focus is on Food Recovery– examing how to redirect edible food no longer viable in the retail sector, as well as identify the barriers and resources required to rescue the food.

  • I just started a 21-day Food Challenge yesterday…no junk food. My daughter made some healthy treats with bananas, oats, honey etc. and they tasted great…who needs store bought junk anyway. Food matters!
